SpoBiS will be held again in Düsseldorf in the coming years
Europe’s biggest sports business conference, SpoBiS, will be held again in Düsseldorf in the coming years. The event organiser SPONSORs, and Düsseldorf Congress Sport & Event have renewed their contract for several years.
Burkhard Hintzsche , head of the Düsseldorf state capital’s department of sport, welcomes the continuation of the excellent working relationship which has been in place for four years. “SpoBis is an outstanding showcase for Düsseldorf as a city of sport. A commitment to sport – from mass sport to major international events – is writ large here. Conversely, event organisers will discover that Düsseldorf offers the ideal convention conditions. The new “Europasaal” at the Radisson Blu Scandinavia Hotel, Dusseldorf

The 661m² “Europasaal” was renovated for € 900.000 and now shines in a stylish design.
One of the highlights is the new lighting system that intensifies the effect of natural daylight. 37 LED systems with 1/2 million LEDs enhance the natural circadian rhythms of humans. Any type of presentation, meeting, exclusive corporate event or private party can be perfectly staged.
The event facilities also include four high performance projectors with accompanying screens. The entire event, light and shading technique can easily be controlled with iPads. In addition, the conference room has a sound-proof partition system, which divides the “Europasaal” into three independent areas as needed.
In 2011, the 314 rooms of the Radisson Blu Scandinavia Hotel, the lobby, the restaurant, the garden, the bar and the spa area were completely renovated and modernized. With the refurbishment and modernization of the “Europasaal”, the renovation work is now completed.

Grand Opening Hotel Indigo with Armin Morbach
The strict guidelines have been fulfilled, the contracts signed, the logo installed. As the third of its kind in Germany, the Hotel Indigo Düsseldorf – Victoriaplatz opens officially and celebrates its Grand Opening with star stylist Armin Morbach with lots of “Fashion Happiness” – according to the party’s motto.

The 126 rooms are individually designed with fabrics and patterns in vivid colors. Wall murals by the artistic photographer and stylist Armin Morbach display iconic design and show fashion trends of the past decades. In the relaxed atmosphere of the courtyard, the guests can unwind or have a smoothie in the trendy cocktail lounge. The“[a]dress kitchen & bar” restaurant uses seasonal ingredients for its creations, be it for special dishes from the Rhineland or for diverse cocktails.
