Europe’s largest ever cargo pedelec test in the spotlight at EUROBIKE
31st August 2016, EUROBIKE, Friedrichshafen. ExtraEnergy will crown the best of 72 pedelecs tested. With a cargo and family pedelecs fashion show. Also, Sand to Snow - Pedelec Adventures celebrate their film premiere.
Visit the Pedelec Award Ceremony on the 31st August 2016 from 12:00 to 12:30 pm under the spotlights of the fashion show stage in the East Foyer at EUROBIKE in Friedrichshafen.
The cargo and family pedelecs fashion show with Wasilis von Rauch (www.eradhafen.de) and Arne Behrensen (www.cargobike.jetzt) gives an insight into Europa’s largest ever cargo pedelec test. The themes are: the dynamics and potential of cargo pedelecs, the significance of the ExtraEnergy Test for consumers as well as for vehicle and component manufacturers, and descriptions of the cargo family, cargo performance, commercial 50kg+ and commercial 120kg+ product groups. The finale will be the handover of the Pedelec Awards to the manufacturers whose bikes won the most victories in the test.
A further show highlight is the film premiere of the Sand to Snow Tour by Pedelec Adventures at 12:30 pm (www.pedelec-adventures.com). Frontlady Susanne Brüsch and her team travelled 5000 km on Haibike SDURO ePerformance bikes from the Pacific coast of California to the heart of Colorado. So in this, the greatest Pedelec Adventure yet, they rode in 10 weeks from the lowest point of North America over the highest mountain chain in the Western USA. A tough test, from desert sands at over 40°C to deep snow at vertiginous altitudes.
The ExtraEnergy team looks forward to meeting you there!

About ExtraEnergy
ExtraEnergy has carried out independent e-bike and pedelec tests since 1992. Since then the organisation has established itself as the most influential information, user protection and promotional organisation for light electric vehicles (LEVs) worldwide.
The founders realised from the start that these vehicles need to be experienced first-hand. Since 1997 the Test IT Track has been on the road, and today has three units for the Test IT Show. ExtraEnergy is also rooted at its test facility in Tanna, where 24 years of test reports and LEV history are on display at the LEV Museum.
Other services on offer include presentations and exhibitions at trade and public shows, plus information distribution with the assistance of correspondents worldwide.
Alongside our physical presence, www.extraenergy.org provides a treasure-house of information online. With support from the European Union and the IEA (International Energy Agency), in 2012 the Go Pedelec! Handbook was published in German, English, Dutch, Hungarian, Czech, Italian, Spanish and Chinese, including much new information and best practice studies for electric-assist two-wheelers.
As founding members of the EnergyBus and BATSO (Battery Safety Organisation) associations, ExtraEnergy is also active on both the ISO (International Standards Organisation) Standards Committee, with a focus on mechanical standardisation, and on the IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission), and so helps set safety and communication standards for LEVs worldwide.
