News 09/2018 – Announcement of the 2018 Nobel Laureates

Each year has its own special days and – without a doubt – the announcements of the Nobel Prizes belong to the top annual events in the scientific world. This week, the time has come again: The Nobel Assembly at the Karolinska Institute and the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences announced the 2018 Nobel Laureates in Physiology or Medicine, Physics and Chemistry. We warmly congratulate all new laureates and cordially invite them to the upcoming Lindau Meetings!

Next year’s Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting, dedicated to physics, will take place 30 June–5 July 2019, and preparations have already started. The nomination and application process is in full swing. Therefore, we want to encourage young scientists to apply now for #LINO19. Spread the word!
