News 02/2019 – Selection Process for #LINO19 Completed

The evaluation and selection process for the 69th Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting (#LINO19) has been completed: 580 young scientists from 88 countries have received their invitation to come to Lindau this summer and to meet 42 Nobel Laureates. This year's meeting will take place 30 June–5 July and is dedicated to physics; key topics are cosmology, laser physics and gravitational waves. We congratulate all selected young scientists and look forward to meeting them in Lindau!

In honour of the 80th anniversary of the discovery of nuclear fission, we have discussed this momentous event in the history of science in recent articles on our blog and mediatheque. Enjoy reading the contributions to this exciting topic.
