With Renata Cervetto

Conversation between Miguel A. López and Renata Cervetto, followed by Q&A

in English

The event will take place over Zoom. Registration link will follow soon.

In this presentation, writer and curator Miguel A. López will give insights into his curatorial practice, highlighting the potentiality of collaborative models and forms of co-responsibility, as well as the role of publications in changing conceptual and historical frameworks. López will reflect on the process of bringing multiple voices into global conversations, and how art mediation practices are intrinsically involved with the curatorial process. In conversation with Renata Cervetto, with whom he co-edited the publication “Agítese antes de usar” in 2016 (MALBA, Buenos Aires; TEOR/éTica, San José), López will discuss the various artistic and educational processes that have been taking place in Latin America in recent years.

As the first of a series of talks and workshops in the framework of the online event and workshop series “You’re not muted.”, the presentation will serve as an introduction to the broader themes that the event series touches upon: Multiple ways of understanding pedagogical, educational and mediation processes; imagining common space, and alternative forms of dialogue and negotiation.
