The workshop aims at providing an introduction to teaching and learning at higher education institutions. Especially colleagues, who are beginning to teach but have no prior experience will find first orientation and support. More experienced instructors who want to refresh their knowledge and engage in exchange with colleagues may also participate.
The topics will include:
Overview of basics of higher education pedagogy (constructivist and cognitivist basics, student-centred teaching/shift from teaching to learning, constructive alignment, active learning)
What are great learning experiences made of?
Participants’ challenges: focus on your specific questions, starting to find your own teaching philosophy and first transfer to your teaching.
This workshop will be very interactive, we will use different methods and tools and discuss teaching approaches in the online, blended and traditional classroom. Your questions and challenges will be at the centre – therefore you’ll be asked to answer a few questions about your learning goals in the run-up to the workshop.

9-12: (4 AE) What are great learning experiences made of, basics of teaching and learning in higher education, experiencing and reflecting upon different methods and tools for activation
12-13: lunch
13 - 16:30: (4 AE) focus on participants' challenges, start transfer to own teaching, starting to develop own teaching philosophy
The work units are distributed among the areas as follows:

Methods, Media & Digital - 6 units of instruction

Kursleitung
Katharina Bonyhádi (geb. Günther)
Katharina Bonyhádi (geb. Günther) arbeitet als freiberufliche Trainerin im Grundlagenmodul (Modul 1) und Erweiterungsmodul (Modul 2) für die Hochschuldidaktik Sachsen. Sie studierte zunächst Anglistik & Mittlere und Neue Geschichte auf Magister, später dann berufsbegleitend den Master Begabungsforschung und Kompetenzentwicklung an der Universität Leipzig. Nach vielfältigen Arbeitserfahrungen im In- und Ausland, primär in internationalen Projekten der Erwachsenenbildung, ist sie seit 2016 hauptsächlich im Bereich der Hochschuldidaktik tätig. Nach mehrjähriger Tätigkeit als wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin mit dem Schwerpunkt Innovationsförderung in der Lehre an der Universität Leipzig, ist sie seit Beginn 2022 hauptberuflich freiberufliche hochschuldidaktische Trainerin. Einer Ihrer Schwerpunkte sind Qualifizierungsveranstaltungen für internationale Lehrende auf Englisch mit den Themen: basics of teaching and learning in higher education, student motivation, active learning, online learning … Des Weiteren beschäftigt Sie sich mit den Themen: Selbstgesteuertes Lernen, Soziale Präsenz in der Lehre, hybride Lehr-Lern-Settings.
