News 04/2019 – Programme of #LINO19 The programme of the 69th Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting dedicated to physics is now available online. This year’s meeting will kick off with a keynote address by Nobel Laureate Brian P. Schmidt on "Big Questions for Society, Big Questions for Research" during the opening ceremony. The second meeting day starts with two lectures by the newly minted laureates in physics, Gérard Mourou and Donna Strickland. Further highlights of the meeting week include the International Get-Together hosted by South Africa, and the Life Lecture by Claude Cohen-Tannoudji covering his life experiences. On the final day, a panel discussion on Mainau Island debating the contribution of science to a better world will also draw the audience’s attention. In addition to lectures, panel discussions and Poster Sessions, interactive programme formats – such as the Agora Talks, Laureate Lunches or Science Walks – will foster exciting dialogues between the 40 Nobel Laureates and around 580 international young scientists. We are looking forward to a diverse and inspiring programme! All the best, Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings |
