Dresden Fellowship Program: In order to invite international scientists for joint research and teaching at TUD, funds are still available in the Dresden Fellowship Program for stays starting in October 2023. Young researchers can be supported as Dresden Junior Fellows for two weeks to six months, or established researchers can be supported as Dresden Senior Fellows at TUD. Sarah Nieder will be happy to advise you on applications to the program.

Energy and Environment - My Idea for Tomorrow: To promote young scientists, the Energy & Climate Protection Foundation has held an annual ideas competition since 2011 for young scientists who are working on energy transition and climate protection as part of their doctorate. The three most innovative ideas are awarded 2,000 euros (1st place), 1,000 euros (2nd place) and 500 euros (3rd place). The closing date for entries is Sunday, October 15, 2023 at midnight.

Stanisław Lem European Research Prize: The Lem Prize is aimed at young researchers (under 40 years of age) studying or working in Europe or associated countries, regardless of nationality or origin. The prize is awarded for a recent discovery or a significant achievement in a broad field of science and technology that has strong elements of technology, interdisciplinarity, creativity and vision. Deadline for submission: September 30, 2023.

Eleonore Trefftz Program: Applications for the Eleonore Trefftz Program can be submitted until October 15 and female scientists can be invited to TUD for three to twelve months. The female scientists develop courses, conduct independent research, network with their specialist community and thus get to know the TUD as an attractive employer. Sarah Nieder will be happy to advise you on applications to the program.

The Hector Research Career Development (RCD) Award was created to support the scientific careers of outstanding researchers in the fields of natural sciences, engineering, medicine and psychology on their way to a professorship. This award is aimed specifically at W1 professors and junior research group leaders and is endowed with a grant of 25,000 €. The application phase runs from September 1 to October 30, 2023.
