... applications: Kassel Democracy Impulse
The city of Kassel is once again presenting the "Kasseler-Demokratie-Impuls" award for outstanding academic work as well as in-depth, analytical and investigative journalistic work. The award is linked to the memory of the victims of right-wing extremist perpetrators, in particular Halit Yozgat, who was murdered by the NSU perpetrators in Kassel on April 6, 2006, and the Kassel District President Dr. Walter Lübcke. The award, which is endowed with 3,000 euros, is intended to honor academic and journalistic works that deal with topics such as xenophobia, racism, right-wing extremism and anti-Semitism, collect, highlight, analyze and classify developments and facts, open up prevention paths and provide impetus. In addition, prizes can be awarded for academic work. The application deadline is May 15.
