The EUTOPIA Young Leaders Academy supports talented (early-career) researchers in their career development and networks promising scientists from the EUTOPIA partner universities in order to promote interdisciplinary scientific exchange.
The Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering is pleased to welcome Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Caroline Murawski to the Chair of Biomedical Sensor Technology as of July 1, 2024.
TUD scientist Dr. Stefan Rothe achieves 2nd place in the Körber Foundation's German Study Award 2024. His dissertation on "The secrets of secure data transmission through optical fibers: Encrypting sensitive messages using light scattering" stood out in the Natural and Technical Sciences section. Rothe received prize money of 5,000 euros for 2nd prize. The award ceremony will take place on December 3, 2024 in Berlin.
Under the General Chairing by Prof. Karlheinz Bock, 74th ECTC, the worlds largest conference in the field of Electronic Packaging, has been successfully celebrated. ECTC 2024 took place from May 28th to 31st in Denver, Colorado, USA
In May 2024, the book "Messunsicherheit" (Measurement Uncertainty) by Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Gerald Gerlach and Prof. Dr.-Ing. Klaus-Dieter Sommer (TU Ilmenau) was published by De Gruyter Verlag.
It provides students of engineering and natural sciences with practical support in dealing with measurement inaccuracies.

With this award, the association "Freunde und Förderer der Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering (EuI) der TU Dresden e. V." honors Research Associates of the Faculty who have distinguished themselves through special commitment. The prize is endowed with prize money of 500.00 euros.
All professors of the Faculty EuI of TU Dresden, all members of the Faculty EuI of TU Dresden and the association "Freunde und Förderer der Fakultät EuI der TU Dresden" e. V. as well as the student council of the Faculty EuI of TU Dresden are entitled to nominate candidates. Proposals for the award must be submitted to the Dean's Office of the Faculty of EuI by September 30, 2024, together with a detailed justification and statement.
