KlarText – Prize for Science Communication: "What did you actually do in your doctoral thesis?" – The answer to this question is the subject of KlarText, the Klaus Tschira Foundation's prize for science communication. It is looking for young researchers who have written a very good doctoral thesis and are keen to explain to a non-scientific audience what they actually did in their research. This should take the form of a generally understandable article or a clear infographic. Scientists who have completed their doctorate with very good results in the previous two years in the fields of biology, chemistry, geosciences, computer science, mathematics, neuroscience or physics are eligible to apply. Anyone who completed their doctorate in a related subject area but can assign their work to one of the seven fields is also welcome to apply. The current application phase ends on February 28.
